I’m watching Lakeview Terrace, what a creepy film! It’s about a cop who didn’t like his new neighbors – an interracial couple who just moved in next door. The situation quickly progressed from petty arguments to the cop trying to kill the couple!
Oops, they just shot the cop. Awesome! He was a jerk.

HHRay and I went to see The Dark Knight last night. It was so good. Heath Ledger was completely amazing (to tell you the truth I only really wanted to see it for Heath Ledger, but I ended up liking pretty much everything about the movie!). I don’t want to give out any spoilers so I’ll just say – go see it. As soon as possible.
On a different note – when I spend the night at HHRay’s house, my morning routine consists of:
1) Alarm rings at 7:10am. Semi wake up and snooze with cuddles until 7:25am.
2) Get up at 7:25am, get ready for work
3) Climb back into bed at 7:45am to get last-minute cuddles and sleep
4) Wake up HHRay at 8:16am to go to the train station and catch the train to work.
Today step number 3 went all wrong. So I climb into bed, ready for my customary pre-work cuddles. And find an impostor. That’s right, I find HHRay cuddling a pillow in my place. I don’t want to wake him up because he has to get up early as it is – 8:16 to drive me to the train station. So I try to wiggle the pillow from under his arm, but he’s got a grip of steel on the thing.
Eventually giving up, I curl up on the other side of the pillow and sprawl one leg on top of him under the covers to at least get some sort of cuddle-action.
When HHRay woke up and I told him about what happened while he was happily snoozing with his pillow, he laughed and told me that I should’ve woken him up :(.
A few days ago my boyfriend and I stumbled across a manga on TV that we hadn’t seen before, called Death Note. Unfortunately we didn’t really get to watch it as HHRay needed to get to work. Then, later that day, I hear that a movie by the same name is meant to come out on May 20th – for only two nights. And the movie doesn’t have a rating (so it is advised that people treat it as an R rating).
I was intrigued – an unrated movie in select cinemas in the U.S., running for only 2 days, at 7:30pm. Apparently DeathNote is about a man (known as “Light”) who finds a notebook full of names which belonged to a Death god. People whose names are written in the book die and Light takes it upon himself to rid the world of evil using this notebook. However, as criminals begin mysteriously dying, a detective is sent to investigate these new murders, which Light is behind.
If I had a special power of some sort I probably wouldn’t like for it to be in the form of a notebook which I can use to kill people, I just couldn’t handle it! I’ll go the cliche route and choose to become invisible instead – then my dreams of spying on people in the shower will finally come true :P
Anyway, the film is showing only in the U.S. and tickets can be purchased from the NCM Fathom web site. Hopefully the movie will come out on DVD so we can enjoy it in Australia, too.

HHAries and I just watched The White Planet. This is such a stunning documentary, I can’t even begin to describe it. All I can say is watch it for yourself. It’s amazing.

Everyone says you’re amazing now that you’re cleeeeean
Only you know who the real ones are cause you’ve seeeeeen
I’m listening to my Myspace profile song, Amazing by Seal.
HHRay and I watched an anime cartoon a few days ago, called Spirited Away. It was surprisingly good! I don’t know how they come up with these awesome, completely original storylines there, but they do. This one was about a girl whose family is moving and they become trapped in an old theme park type thing. Her parents are turned into pigs and the girl begins working at the park, looking for a way to rescue her parents.
Even though it was just a cartoon, the animation was great. It wasn’t that Pokemon type thing (although I do like Pokemon ;) ), where the mouths barely move and there’s practically no flowing movement! Spirited Away was very well illustrated and I was amazed at how the developers paid attention to detail – the main character tapping her toe against the ground when she was putting on a shoe in order to make it fit right, for example.
I just watched Death Sentence with Kevin Bacon. It’s a movie about a happy upper middle class family. The father’s son gets murdered in an initiation killing and the father, refusing to accept the minimal punishment that the murderer would get, decides to take the law into his own hands. He kills the man who murdered his son, which then sets off the rest of the gang, the leader of which turns out to be the murderer’s brother.
I don’t think I can remember the last time I’ve seen such an enthralling action movie. And I can understand the father’s actions. I think if something like this happened to one of my future adopted kids or husband, I’d want to do the same thing. Hopefully I’ll never have to find out what it feels like.
I am soooo excited. HHRay, some friends, and I are going to watch I Am Legend tomorrow. This movie is gonna be great, I can feel it, even only if it’s because it has a cool German Shepherd in it. But hey, Will Smith is always great.
I just checked my old desktop and found 81.4GB of Stargate episodes, both SG-1 and Atlantis. There’s over 250 episodes in all! And you know the saddest thing? I can’t transfer them over to my laptop. They simply won’t fit :’(.
