HHRay and I watched a documentary called Off The Chain about pit bulls and pit bull fighting today. I bawled throughout the entire movie (which was about 50 minutes long). Seriously, I couldn’t stop crying and I’m pretty sure HHRay’s shirt was soaked by the end. What these people do to these dogs is horrible. I can’t believe some of them claim to ‘love’ the dogs in one scene and explain how they’ll electrecute them or feed them gun powder the next. It’s also heartbreaking that so many good family pets who happen to be pit bulls or pit bull crosses are ripped from responsible, educated owners and euthanized due to banning of the breed.

I have noticed something very peculiar today. My room, every once in a while, starts to get a distinct smell of weed. I know what it smells like because I’ve been around people who smoke pot, but I find the smell itself disgusting. So smelling it now gives me the same feeling as, say, nails on a chalkboard. I smelled it this morning and I’m smelling it now, in my bed. My window faces the fence to our new neighbor’s house – our houses are pretty close together. I hope that if they’re smoking pot, they will not be turning it into a frequent occasion.

And what if they do? How do you approach someone like that?

“Excuse me? Could you please limit your use of illegal drugs to holidays and special occasions? My room gets stinky when you do it.”

I’d probably get beaten over the head with a shovel! What if they’re some sort of pot-growing gangsters :S. And the two little yappy dogs that are constantly barking over the fence aren’t actually yappy because they’re tiny and untrained at all – they’re guard dogs who protect the marijuana plans in their backyard.

This was meant to be a good neighborhood.

How much more messed up can this world get? Apparently in Texas, a man killed his girlfriend, filleted her body parts, and proceeded to cook them in his mother’s home. He called the police and confessed.
