Tom Cheats

March 18

As if Katie Holmes didn’t have to deal with enough crap with Tom’s Scientology thing, he was now caught kissing a mystery blonde. Not only that, but there are rumors that Tom Cruise chose Katie to be his wife through an audition process which was organized by some of his Scientology buddies. Poor Katie. Her whole life sounds like a cult prison.

A Tribute to Heath

January 23

I said I wouldn’t cry because of the death of someone I never even met. It didn’t work :( So I made a tribute.

Heath Ledger Dead

January 23

Heath Ledger was found dead yesterday at 28 years old, 3:26PM. He was found naked in an apartment, face down at the foot of his bed. He overdosed on sleeping pills. Apparently there was no obvious indication of suicide.

This is hitting me so much harder than Steve Irwin. Heath Ledger was there since my U.S. days. I watched him over and over in A Knights Tale, numerous other movies, and then recently Brokeback Mountain.

Heath was born in Perth, Western Australia, in 1979. His mother was a French teacher and his father was a mining engineer. He got his first acting role as Peter Pan at the age of 10 and his career has progressed enormously and steadily until his death.

Right now I’m truly hoping there’s more to death than a hole in the ground.

Hollywood News

December 19

I think it’s time for a bit of Hollywood news. First of all, I just found out that Britney Spears has released a video for Piece of Me, a song off of her new album. Now, as much as I know her career’s down the drain at this point, some songs on that CD are still awesome to listen to, Piece of Me being one of them. This video, however, completely kills it for me. It just seems so…un-energetic. Is it just me? I mean come on, this is such a great song to dance to – but she barely dances in the whole thing! She just does some head bobbing walking on bent knees thing. A great disappointment. Click here to watch it on YouTube.

Also, Angelina Jolie has officially labeled her biological daughter Shiloh an outcast.

She said: “She looks like Brad. It’s funny because she’s almost going to be the outcast in the family because she’s blonde and blue-eyed.”

Brad is apparently furious with Ange because he also just recently found out that Ange never wanted to give birth in the first place – she only did it for him. Ange seems to have no maternal instinct toward her biological daughter at all, as opposed to her and Brad’s adopted children. According to nineMSN news, Ange doesn’t even change Shiloh’s diapers or hold her when she cries. That poor baby. The sad thing is, Ange isn’t the only mother who doesn’t care about her child – she’s just the one the world is focusing its eyes on, while so many parents who don’t happen to be in the spotlight are doing the same thing.

Writers Strike Back

November 11

UPDATE: Thanks, Mike, for pointing out the mistake. The writers are apparently already on strike and have been since the 5th. This is all the more exciting :)

The Writers Guild of America is demanding a bigger slab of revenues from TV shows. Their contract expired on October 31 and a deal was not reached. The script writers are seriously threatening to go on strike, which could last months (the last dispute was in 1988 and lasted 5 months). If this happens, smaller sitcoms will shut down right away – and if it keeps happening, bigger shows such as Ugly Betty and other soap operas will run out of material by the end of the year. This is exciting. I’m not on either side, but I’m leaning more towards the Writers Guild simply because I love writing. I know it’s not a very good reason, but that’s just how I feel. I think this dispute is going to be very interesting.

HOLY CRAP

November 11

I’m watching Australian Idol and Matt just sang. And HOLY CRAP! I haven’t been following the show, but this performance was so much more than outstanding. That one high note will stick in my mind FOREVER. I can’t believe it. This is the best thing I’ve ever heard since Chris Daughtry on American Idol. I can’t even put how much I loved Matt’s performance of It’s Too Late by Evermore into words, which is why this post is so short. I’m sure I’ll be raving about it for weeks to come. He HAS to win.

T.A.T.U.

October 27

This is the only reason you’re famous.

Blackout

October 27

I’m listening to a sneak preview of Britney’s new album Blackout and I must admit, it’s actually pretty catchy :) I find myself bobbing my head to the music. It’s more dancey than her other stuff. Her voice sounds completely computerized, so I’m sure it’s not to Britney that the credit is due, but it’s actually nice if you like the whole completely-edited-voice thing.

Check out the preview here, not sure how long it’ll be up there though.

So far, I like Piece of Me the best, but I haven’t finished listening to all of them yet. Hot As Ice is completely ridiculous – she sounds like Mini Mouse in that one.

Oh and I think she looked better with blonde hair. Not everyone can pull off the black, she’s one of those people.

Despite her live performance and the recently released music video, maybe the album won’t be a GIGANTIC letdown? Just maybe?

“I don’t give a s***, I never wanted them in the first place.”

October 16

Apparently Britney Spears told her friends after losing custody of her children, that she didn’t give a s*** and didn’t want them in the first place. The night she lost custody, she was laughing and giggling and partying – her kids were never mentioned. People are now starting to seriously think that she cares more about her Yorkie, London, than she ever did about her children.

I guess the whole custody battle was just a bitter fight to make Kevin Federline’s life that little bit more difficult.
